Library

The library is a four-storey building constructed in the Safavid architectural design on one side of the main university quadrangle. Its iconic dome a replica of that of the Dome of the Rock also known as Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah in Jerusalem. So is the painting on under side of the dome which was replicated by a team of Palestinian painters with the assistance of the Fine Arts students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).

The AiU Library is committed to support the AiU vision and mission to be a caring institution of learning by providing convenient and effective access to high quality library services, collections in a variety of formats and information resources designed to meet the curricular, professional, intellectual, creative, research and personal needs of the AiU community.

Its primary goal is to actively augment the teaching and learning activities of the university. This is achieved by providing an active, frequently used collection of print and online resources that enhance the University both the academic and social learning outcomes in all the courses and programmes offered at AiU.

It houses reading rooms dedicated for both Quiet Study and Collaborative Study. The latter is located at the first floor, while the former on the second and third floors. The Ground Floor is designated for leisure reading, book exhibitions as well as loaning activities. The total seating capacity is exceeds 1000.

In support of the above, the AiU Library also provides individualised assistance, community outreach activities as well as professional and consultancy services. It is equipped with up-to-date current technologies for equal access to the various facilities, services and administrative activities of the University.

Materials for light reading, development of soft-skills, hobbies and interests are also available, including for children.

The Library is accessible to a cafe and lounging facilities nearby.
Soon, it will be supplemented with a 24-hour working and open study space.

The AiU Library is also linked to the Islamic Arts Museum of the Albukhary Foundation in Kuala Lumpur, apart of other professional library networks globally.
