ACADEMIC POSITIONS

Head of Foundation Studies

Responsibilities:

To manage faculty and staff members’ responsibilities in the Centre related to administration, teaching, research and community service consistent with the Vision and Mission of the University.

Requirements:

  • To manage the processes of curriculum and course materials development within the Centre
  • To liaise between the Centre and Academic Management in regard to all academic matters concerning the Centre
  • To manage faculty and staff members in the preparation, administration and supervision of examination papers, as well as assessment of examinations involving the Centre
  • To coordinate research and development work within the Centre for the purposes of advancement of teaching and learning and in areas consistent with the Vision and Mission of the University
  • To assist the University in consultancy and sponsored research
  • To coordinate community service within the Centre consistent with the Mission and Vision of the University
  • To coordinate training courses within the Centre to upgrade faculty and staff members’ skills relevant to teaching, research, community service or other areas consistent with the Vision and Mission of the University
  • To discharge administrative and other duties as and when requested by the University

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master degree, preferably with a PhD
  • A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer or above, preferably with prior academic management experience at the departmental level

 

Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer
(Subject : Information Technology, Business, Mathematics, English)

Responsibilities:

To discharge responsibilities related to teaching, research and community service consistent with the Vision and Mission of the University

Requirements:

  • To conduct curriculum development and develop course materials for specific courses
  • To conduct a specified number of hours of face-to-face teaching (lecture, tutorial, practical, or other forms of teaching) per week
  • To prepare examination papers, administer, supervise and carry out assessment of examinations as required by the University
  • To engage in research and development work for the purposes of advancement of teaching and learning and in areas consistent with the Vision and Mission of the University
  • To assist the University in consultancy and sponsored research
  • To be involved in community service as and when required by the University
  • To take part in and assist in training courses to upgrade skills relevant to teaching, research, community service or other areas consistent with the Vision and Mission of the University
  • To discharge administrative and other duties as and when requested by the University

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master degree (Lecturer)
  • Minimum of a Degree (Assistant Lecturer)
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience

 

 

ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

Students Recruitment Specialist

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, establishes and administers programs for targeting recruitment in graduate, undergraduate and foundation programs. Visit schools, institutions and scholarship providers to make presentations on the University, its programs and prospect for potential students. Coordinates recruitment efforts and serves as primary point of contact for recruitment inquiries and internal coordination of university participation in student recruitment outreach activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required :

  • Ability to gather data, compiles information, and prepares reports.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Developing promotional materials including writing copy for brochures, adverts and other materials
  • Develop the entry assessment criteria together with faculty
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with diverse populations and the different levels of bureaucracy
  • Ability to develop links and maintaining relationships with high schools, alumni and relevant sponsors (government agencies, embassies etc) in key markets
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Ability to plan and evaluate programs.
  • Program planning and implementation skills.
  • Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Ability to provide leadership and guidance to administrative support staff and/or students.
  • Ability to set and meet KPI based on the University requirements
  • Ability to analyze marketing budgets to ensure that expenditure maximizes return on investment

Handyman – Mechanical & Electrical

Job Description :

  • Assist the technical team for repair, maintenance and new installation works related to buildings Mechanical & Electrical systems,
  • Assist the technical team for planned preventive maintenance works related to buildings Mechanical & Electrical systems,
  • Conduct scheduled daily check and inspection for all Mechanical & Electrical equipment and system,
  • To assist in all other related job functions as and when required

Job Requirement :

  • Possess min. SPM or equivalent qualification
  • Possess works skills and knowledge in M & E equipment repair, maintenance and installations works,
  • Able to do multitasking and good quality hands-on for the repair, maintenance and new installation works,
  • Possess good team work.

LV Chargeman

Job Description :

  • Responsible to initiate, maintain and service all the Electrical LV systems installations,
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrading, and improvement activities.
  • Establish specific maintenance procedures, inspection schedules and maintenance work schedules
  • Attend complaints, check and ensure all electrical defects/breakdowns are attended to within a specific time & date line
  • Supervise a team of technicians and to ensure Electrical system is well maintained.
  • Responsible to monitor and ensure all installations and practices is complying with statutory and legal requirement.
  • Liaison with relevant authorities and vendors to ensure compliance with the regulations at all times

Job Requirement :

  • Candidate must be a minimum certified A4 level LV Chargeman from Suruhanjaya Tenaga
  • At least 5 years working experience in Facilities Management and must be familiar with building electrical system
  • Ability in reading, understanding electrical schematic drawings and troubleshoot electrical faults independently,
  • Able to do multi-tasking and good quality hands-on for the repair, maintenance and new installation works,
  • Possess teamwork and positive attitude,
  • Excellent communication skill and computer literate
