The Albukhary International University (AIU) was set up specifically to provide opportunities for students from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds to obtain university level education. Its ideal student composition comprises 70 - 80% international and 20 - 30% Malaysian students. AIU aims to ensure that its students will not only receive quality higher education, but will also be imbued with humanitarian values.
