Dining Halls and Cafetarias

Dining Halls

There are two dining halls in the AIU campus. A female dining hall with 150 seats is located next to the female hostels. This dining hall is a complex which also houses an indoor multi purpose sports hall. The male dining hall is located near to the male hostel blocks and has seating for about 150 persons.

Food and drinks for all students will be served at meal times mainly in these two dining halls which are equipped with international standard kitchen equipment and facilities to maintain hygiene and cleanliness to WHO standards.

Cafeterias

There are 3 cafeterias at AIU serving different needs and tastes. The international cafeteria at the Student Centre can serve ala carte Eastern and Western meals for staff and visitors. This outlet has a bakery and an air conditioned dining room for small groups that require a sit down service.

The Library café in the Library building will serve snacks and drinks only, whilst the other cafeteria located under the Complex Maintenance Office is equipped to serve local street food.

The cafeterias in AIU are wonderful places for students and staff to socialise and enjoy their respective meals. The cafeterias provide a variety of food which consists of international and local cuisine. These outlets are situated at strategic places convenient to students and staff. The menu for all meals prepared and served at the various F&B outlets in AIU will be designed by nutritionists to ensure a healthy balanced diet for all students and staff. The University will conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleanliness and safety are of the highest standards.
