Instructions for Airport Arrival
Just before you land, place your student pass Approval Letter and AIU Offer Letter together with your passport as you will need to show them to the Malaysian Immigration officer. The University representative will be waiting for you, according to the flight details you have sent to us. If you need to change your Travellers Cheques, inform the AIU representative so that he/she can take you to the most convenient place for you to do so. Remember banks close on weekends, so if you need Malaysian currency, change your Travellers Cheques at the airport.
Accommodation
After being cleared through immigration you will be brought to your hostel. If you have decided to be picked up at the airport by a family friend or relative, the our representative will bring you to the waiting area to meet them. Over the first few days, it will be necessary to register at the University, and to attend the Orientation Day.
Registration
All students must register formally at the start of the academic year. Full details of the arrangements, a map of the campus and other essential information will be provided during the Orientation Day.
For new students, the registration takes place on the AIU Campus. If you have any enquiries about the Registration process, you should contact the admission department by email admissions@aiu.edu.my. You must register in order to gain access to University facilities such as the computer labs and the Library.
